The Global Consortium, LLC (GCL) staff is the foundation of the firm. Each person was selected based on their ability and expertise in leading organizations engaged in the process of transforming their cultures and implementing change. Each brings a minimum of 15 years hands-on business, government, and/or armed forces experience. GCL uses this combined expertise in the different dimensions of global service delivery to produce unique and tailored business solutions. In addition to our individual experience, we continuously enhance our skills, our service delivery, and our resource offerings by engaging in scholarly research leading to the development of new theory.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Adrienne L. Anderson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Consortium, LLC, a human and organizational systems development firm located in San Diego, California. Anderson established the firm in 1989, when she conducted the first worldwide employee regression analysis for Deloitte Touché, New York. This study, along with her other business experiences, lead her to realize that the key areas businesses need to focus on are: change, diversity and leadership. These areas are what GCL is all about.

Dr. Anderson’s 29 years of global business experience includes work with companies such as the Chicago Tribune, General Foods, Zenith Radio Corporation, and American Express. She has designed, developed and implemented fully integrated training programs in human development, organizational development, diversity, economics and sociology. Her experiences in managing change, diversity and leadership programs encompass global assignments in countries throughout the world: Argentina, Bangkok, Hong Kong, England, France, Mexico, and the United States. She has conducted sessions in English and Spanish. Adrienne is a sought after public speaker and educator.

Dr. Anderson earned her Bachelor of English at Wells College for Women in Aurora, New York, where she was one of eight African American women on campus. She holds a Master of Human Development degree and an MBA in finance. She went on to achieve a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from The Fielding Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Her dissertation was on the integration of economics with sociology to develop an intersection between business behaviors versus human behaviors. Currently, she is working on a Master of Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Dr. Anderson is a life long learner who is committed to change management, diversity education, and leadership development in business and life. She accomplishes this through GCL with the help of a select group of other scholarly practitioners of whom she has personally selected.

Dr. Anderson has been a keynote speaker for:
• Women’s Foodservice Forum Annual Leadership Development Conference in Chicago, IL, 2004.
• International Business Economic Research Conference in Acapulco, Mexico, 2003.

Adrienne’s programs have also reached out to young people:
• Mount Kilimanjaro: Challenge yourself; a non-profit group organized for teenagers from the slums. They climbed the mountain and learned to be leaders of themselves.
• Executive Director of a boy’s residential treatment program, New Hampshire. These boys learned that change and success are possible.

Rafael Colon, BA

Rafael  Colon, BA

GCL invited Rafael into the company because of his ability to speak fluently in both English and Spanish to corporate, association and government groups throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. He is an author, master of ceremonies, management consultant, personal coach and certified facilitator. Rafael is a long-time meeting planner, organizer and coordinator of successful major conferences, workshops, seminars and training events. His experiences qualify him as an expert in GCL’s three human resource areas: change, diversity and leadership.  As a speaker, Mr. Colon is applauded for his ability to reach diverse groups through energizing deliveries. Mr. Colon was the first Latino to serve as the administrator of Washington State’s Management Education and Development program. Rafael earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science at Washington State University. He went on to earn an MBA at City University and has one year toward his doctorate with Fielding Graduate Institute. He is a Certified Consulting Hypnotherapist and a Certified Facilitator. Rafael aligned himself with GCL because of their commitment to diversity education and leadership development in the workforce.

Mark Nozaki, MS

Mark Nozaki, MS

GCL invited Mark into the company as a facilitation consultant because of his proven record of accomplishment in working effectively as a valued business partner at all levels of organizations: leadership and team development, strategic planning and implementation, merger integration and organizational transformation, HR metrics and benchmarking, change management, human strategies, conflict resolution, organizational cultural assessment and diversity, and inclusion training. His experiences qualify him as an expert in GCL’s three human resource areas: change, diversity and leadership. Mark's engineering and technical background allow him to provide quantitative and statistical analysis to ensure cultural alignment in the development of human resources and management.  He has worked with both public and private global corporations such as Exxon Mobil.  His industry leading experience is in offering innovative direction during times of change for organizations through restructuring, business process reengineering, and increased productivity for several major large-scale organizations seeking improvement through strategic initiatives. Mark is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He then went on to earn a Master of Science in Operations Research. Mark aligned himself with GCL because of their commitment to diversity education and leadership development in the workforce.

Kari Schaeffler, MA

Kari Schaeffler, MA: Human Resources Development (HRD)

GCL invited Kari into the company as a facilitation consultant because of her 18 years of experience in adult education, training and program development. Energizing and engaging audiences worldwide, her expertise lay in leadership training, change and performance management, conflict resolution, integrated team solutions and career transitions.  Kari’s experiences qualify her as an expert in GCL’s three human resource areas: change, diversity and leadership.  Kari’s passion for training was ignited when she served for three years as a member of the US Navy Return and Reunion training team. She met US fleets in Europe and crossed the Atlantic with them on their voyage home in order to present more than twenty unique classes related to reintegration after six-months at sea. Kari is a graduate of Webster University where she earned her Master of Human Resources Development degree. Kari aligned herself with GCL because of their commitment to diversity education and leadership development in the workforce.

Joel Martin, Ph.D.

Joel Martin, Ph.D.

GCL invited Joel into the company as a facilitation consultant because of her established reputation as an author, international trainer, behavioral scientist, public speaker and award-winning communicator. Her experiences qualify her as an expert in  GCL’s three human resource areas: change, diversity and leadership. Joel changed the face of advertising when she became one of the first African-American women to own and operate her own full-service advertising agencies. Her diversity experience includes work as a trainer of one of the world’s top three global consulting firms. She used her industry leading experience to work with their partners, unit heads, and other employees in a 360-degree diversity and leadership development program. Joel also spearheaded the design and implementation of a culture-change program for a national healthcare company to help them achieve enhanced customer service, diversity and alignment goals. She established organizational achievement by tapping into the existing resources of their staff through the development of a bilingual English - Spanish training program that empowered their Hispanic/Latino employees to contribute more powerfully to the organization as ‘owners’ and managers. The organization went on to develop a Diversity University with Joel assisting in the development of curriculum and trainers. Joel is a graduate of Ohio State University where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She went on to earn a Master of Psychology and a Ph.D. in Communications. Joel aligned herself with GCL because of their commitment to diversity education and leadership development in the workforce.

Brenda Kitchen, MA

GCL invited Brenda into the company because she is a Certified Business Coach who has been a successful executive for 15 years in sales and sales management. She has eight years of successful entrepreneurial training, facilitation and development experiences with Fortune 500 companies.  Brenda's experiences qualify her as an expert in GCL’s three human resource areas: change, diversity and leadership. She has delivered and written curriculum for sales, organizational development and leadership programs for Xerox Document University.   Brenda led the implementation of the revolutionary MODUS sales program within Daimler-Chrysler Corporation. The program was featured in Newsweek for its results of 100% increased customer satisfaction during the sales experience.  Brenda also conducted new business certification assessment and training for IBM's Mentor Protege Partnership, which resulted in the creation of new minority business opportunities for retired military personnel.  Brenda is a graduate of------- .
